LDS (Mormon) Scriptures for the Newton
This is a collection of scriptures used (in addition to the King James Bible) by Mormons. Mormons have three extrabiblical texts: the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price. These three texts have been converted for the Newton MessagePad via Paperback.
Servant Software has put together The Message, a freeware Newton Bible in either King James, RSV, or (for $20) NIV. I highly recommend it. It is very small, taking up a little more than 2 megabytes of space on the Newton. Unfortunately, Servant does not release the storage format for their texts; otherwise the extrabiblical LDS scriptures in The Message format would probably be about 700K altogether, instead of 2 megs themselves.
All three scripture are separate packages but are downloaded together. The packages have been compressed for NewtonOS 2.0 only, sorry. And these are not small texts. The Book of Mormon takes up 1340K on the Newton. Doctrine and Covenants takes up 735K. The Pearl of Great Price takes up 150K.
