CALL FOR PAPERS

WOSP'2000
The Second International Workshop on Software and Performance

September 17-20, 2000
Ottawa, Canada
http://www.sce.carleton.ca/wosp2000

Sponsored by  ACM SIGMETRICS and ACM SIGSOFT.
In cooperation with the Computer Measurement Group (CMG), IFIP WG 6.3 and 7.3 (all, pending approval).

Software performance engineering (SPE) research aims to build predictable performance into systems by considering quantitative behavior from a system's requirements phase through to its maintenance and enhancement. Increasing system complexity, rapidly evolving software technologies, short time to market, incomplete documentation, and less than adequate quantitative models and tools offer many challenges to SPE practitioners and researchers. WOSP'2000 brings together SPE and Software Engineering researchers and practitioners. The first workshop (WOSP'98) held in  in Santa Fe, NM, was highly successful.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

SPE Process and Practices

Modeling Tools and Techniques

Performance Measurement, Modeling, and Management for Software Systems

Full papers, experience papers, position papers, and panels are solicited. Full papers and experience papers will be fully refereed for presentation in the Proceedings which will be published by ACM. Position papers will be used to make up workshop sessions, and selected ones will be included in the proceedings.

Important Deadlines:

Please submit:

Tutorial submissions should go to the Tutorial Chair. All other submissions should can be made electronically. For non-electronic submissions, send six copies of appropriately designated materials to either of the Program Co-Chairs.
